Just the other day, I decided to take the plunge and start my own blog. I've been thinking about it for a while, and finally took the leap. It's been a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to get the site up and running on Typecho, a simple yet powerful blogging platform. For hosting, I'm using an Oracle free VPS, which has been working out pretty well so far.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to write about just yet. This is really more of a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. I just felt the urge to start putting my thoughts and experiences out there. Maybe it'll turn into a creative outlet, or a way for me to share what I'm learning as a student. Who knows! I'm excited to see where this new venture takes me.

As for the name of the blog - "siuloong" - it's a bit of an interesting one. It's actually my nickname that a few of my friends have been calling me. The origin is a bit unclear, but I think it has something to do with the Cantonese word for "little dragon". I quite like the sound of it, and it has a nice ring to it, so I decided to go with it for the blog name.

Anyway, that's the story behind my new blog so far. I'm looking forward to sharing more with you all in the days and weeks to come. Feel free to follow along and let me know what you think!
